Тема урока: “Does your health depend on you”

Цели урока:

Развивающая: развитие коммуникативных навыков учащихся по теме “Does your health depend on you

Воспитательная: воспитание здоровых привычек и культуры здорового образа жизни;

Учебная: активизация лексического (“health”) и грамматического (модальный глагол «should») материала. Развитие навыков говорения, аудирования, письма и чтения по теме.


Оборудование:

компьютер, мультимедийный проектор;

раздаточный материал (задание к аудированию,

чтению и т.д.)

докторский халат и принадлежности.


Ход урока:

I. Оргмомент:

- Good morning!

- How are you

- Do you feel well today?

- I’m glad that you are all fine!

T: Good health…I hope that you understand that it is very important to be healthy.

You can’t be good at your studies or work well when you are ill.

English people say: “Health is the best wealth”. They are right! We can’t buy health, but we can do a lot to keep it.

By the way, what is health for you?

Right you are. So today we are going to speak about health, health care, and

what we should do to be healthy.

  1. I’ll give you cards with situations. Your task is to make up dialogues.

Card 1. You come to your friend. He (she) doesn’t look well. It’s, probably, the flu. You think he (she) must consult the doctor and mustn’t use home medicine.


Card 2. You are not well. You have a sore throat and want the doctor to help you.

  1. Projects


Teacher: We’ve worked on the projects “What should we do to be healthy” and “Healthy and unhealthy food”. And now I want you to present your projects.

Our motto is “Early to bed, early to rise keeps a man healthy, wealthy and wise”. In order to be healthy you should eat more fruit and vegetables.

You shouldn’t eat unfresh food.

You shouldn’t drink very cold water.

You shouldn’t eat a lot of sweets. They are not healthy for your teeth.

You should sleep 8 hours a day.

You should do morning exercises.

You should air your room 3-4 times a day.

You shouldn’t watch TV too much.

You should play computer games one hour a day.

You should brush your teeth two times a day: in the morning and in the evening.

If you fall ill, you should visit a doctor.

You should go to the dentist twice a year.

You should keep your feet warm.

You should spend much time in the open air.

If you follow all our instructions you will be always healthy.




T: I’m glad that you know something about the healthy way of life. But there are many other factors that influence our health.

Doctor Agapkin is our guest today.


I want to tell you about healthy and unhealthy food.

As you know chips, coca-cola, sweets are unhealthy food.

But fruit and vegetables, meat, milk, fish is good for our health.

1) Grapefruit helps to make your heart strong.

2) Cheese protects your teeth.

3) Green tea is good for your nerves.

4) Milk, cheese makes your bones strong.

5) Bananas are good for your mood.

  1. Carrot is good for your eyes.

7) Oranges are good when you are ill.

8) Apple is not only a tasty fruit. It is very good for our health. An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

Eat the right food and you will be healthy.

Healthy Habits

Healthy habit number one: eat breakfast every morning. Children who eat breakfast usually do better at school! A good breakfast includes fruits, vegetables, and grains.

Healthy habit number two: eat fish. The American Health Association suggests eating fish two times each week.

Healthy habit number three: sleep enough. Poor sleep quality can affect our memory and learning. Experts advise seven hours of sleep a night.

Healthy habit number four: have a plan. So, the best way to be healthy is to make a plan.

Healthy habit number five: exercise. Exercise is very important for good health. Exercise helps people to think and move better. It gives people lots of energy!

Healthy habit number six: care of your teeth. Taking care of your teeth can add over six years to your life! So remember to wash, brush and clean between your teeth!

Healthy habit number seven: have a hobby. A hobby is something that you enjoy doing. Hobbies help people to relax and rest. Hobbies bring us joy. .

Healthy habit number eight: eat healthy between meals. Fruits and vegetables are a better choice. Remember an apple a day keeps the doctor away.

Healthy habit number nine: drink water. Water helps our bodies work right. Eight glasses of water a day does a body good!

Healthy habit number ten: take a walk every day.

Today we’ve spoken a lot about health, healthy way of life and how to keep feet. Look at the blackboard please and let us read the proverbs about health.

Good friends are good for your health.
